South Sea Marine provides rigging inspection, replacement and service for sailing yachts in Phuket. Services cover standing rigging (rod and wire), running rigging, mast and boom work, furling system service, winch overhaul and backstay tensioner repair. We service cruising and racing yachts from 30 to 70 feet.

Industry standard recommends replacing wire standing rigging every 10-12 years or after 60,000 nautical miles. Rod rigging should be inspected annually and typically replaced every 15-20 years. In tropical conditions with high UV exposure, we recommend inspection every 2 years regardless of age.
Yes. We service Harken, Facnor, Profurl and other major furling system brands. Common work includes drum bearing replacement, foil section straightening, upper swivel service and UV strip renewal. Full system replacement is available if bearings or foil sections are beyond service.
Yes. We coordinate mast unstepping using marina cranes at Yacht Haven or Royal Phuket Marina. Once unstepped, we perform thorough inspection of mast step, spreader brackets, internal halyards, masthead fittings and electrical connections. Typical mast-down service takes 3-5 days.
