Our Story

From a Two-Man Workshop to a Full-Service Yard

South Sea Marine started at Boat Lagoon Marina in the early 2000s. Two experienced shipwrights, a small hardstand, and a reputation built through the cruising community: quality work, honest pricing, reliable timelines.

Today the company employs 40+ skilled tradespeople across four Phuket marinas. We handle everything from weekend antifouling to 12-month superyacht refits. The approach stays the same: one project manager per vessel, certified materials, weekly photo documentation, and no hidden costs.

We treat every yacht as if we will be sailing her ourselves when the work is done.

What Sets Us Apart

Radical Transparency

Every estimate is itemised by task, material and labour. No lump sums. You see where every dollar goes before work starts. Weekly photo reports track progress against the agreed scope.

Certified Materials Only

We stock Awlgrip, Jotun and International coating systems. MTU, Volvo Penta and Caterpillar genuine parts for mechanical work. Every material carries batch traceability and manufacturer certificates.

One Project Manager

Your dedicated PM coordinates painters, welders, electricians, carpenters and engineers. You talk to one person. Communication in English, Thai or Russian via your preferred messenger.

Written Warranties

All work ships with clear warranty terms. Structural repairs: 24 months. Coating systems: manufacturer warranty up to 24 months. Osmosis treatment: 36 months against recurrence.
